Enhance your event with dance music of the big band era and the music of the best songs ever written!

From the Greenbrier Resort at White Sulphur Springs, WV to the finest ballrooms in Lexington, Louisville and Cincinnati, The Men of Note has entertained dancers at the most prestigious events in the region since 1966.

Carolyn Smith The Men of Note recreates the original dance music of Glenn Miller, Harry James, Les Brown, Artie Shaw and many other great bands. Their program also includes sambas, tangos, bossa-novas, waltzes, polkas and other specialties guaranteed to add variety and excitement to your party.

The Men of Note features Carolyn Smith singing the songs of Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, George Gershwin and the great songwriters of the era, backed by sixteen professional musicians. Nothing else quite compares to experiencing the full richness of the authentic big band sound.

There are other "big bands," but none plays REAL big band dance music quite like The Men of Note! We are available at a surprisingly reasonable price: often much less than the cost of bands with many fewer musicians. Spend less money and get the real thing!
